Qbox: Creating Tasks

QboxLogo_For_Articles

You can create Tasks in Qbox and assign them to yourself as the Account Owner and Team Members for any work that needs to be performed. You may also mark tasks as unassigned to allow team members to pick them up when ready.  When you create a task, you can provide additional details corresponding to the task so the assigned user has the information needed to complete the task. Tasks help you keep track of the status of work performed at all times.

Creating a Task

Click on the 'Tasks' tab at the top of Qbox. From this page, you can click on '+ Tasks'.

This will open the ‘Create a Task’ window. Here you will need to select the Client and add the necessary information

Assign To - Choose the Team Member the task should be assigned to or mark it as Unassigned to allow any Team Member to ‘grab’ the task.

Choose Client - The ‘Select Client’ drop-down menu will show all the Clients you’ve added to Qbox. Please view the ‘Add Clients’ help guide if you need to add a Client.

Task Info - You can use the ‘Title’ field to type the name of your Task as freeform text.

When done, you can click ‘Save and Add More’ to add more tasks or ‘Save and Close’.

After adding your tasks, you will then be brought back to the Tasks screen.

Editing/Deleting a Task

You can edit certain information for created tasks such as the Task Status or the person assigned to the task by clicking the edit (pencil icon) button.  You can also remove or delete the task from Qbox by clicking on the delete (trash icon) button.

Changing the Status of a Task

In addition to changing the Status by editing the Task, from the Kanban board view, you can click and drag the Task to the ‘Not Started’, ‘In Progress’, or ‘Completed’ columns.

Filtering/Sorting Tasks

You can click on the funnel icon in the upper left corner of the ‘Tasks’ page in order to filter visible tasks by the particular Client, a specific date range, and you can also sort your current view of tasks by clicking on the Sort button on the far right.
