Basil: What is a Workspace?

Each Client has at least one Workspace where folders and files are stored. You can create separate Workspaces for your Clients in whichever way works best for your firm.

Examples of workspaces can be department names (Payroll, Taxes, Bookkeeping, HR), or by the client’s different businesses (East Street Branch, Downtown Branch, Personal). If you need to organize by both business and department (or add an extra layer of nesting) you can utilize Multi-Entity Client Types.

The Primary User for the Client will have access to all of its Workspaces. However, Client Users can be invited to one or multiple Workspaces for that Client. Examples could be a spouse for the Personal Workspace or a secretary for the Business Workspaces.
