CoraCloud: Types of Clients

CoraCloud_Logo_For_Articles

When creating a new Client in CoraCloud, you are first prompted to enter the Client Name and select a Client Type. These types include an Individual, Business Owner, and Corporation. You can decide which type works best for you given the type of work you are doing for the Client. Once created, these Clients are shown on your ‘My Clients’ page of the 'Files' tab. The Client will have access to the ‘External’ folder of the Entity (Project, Business, Subsidiary) you invite them to. Any Client type can have any Entity type (Project, Business, Subsidiary) associated with it. Information describing each Client type and their recommended Entity types can be found below.

Individual

This type of Client is used when you are working with a single person (and/or their family) and they do not own any businesses of their own. Work and documents for these types of Clients typically include items of a more personal nature including personal taxes, retirement funds, college funds, and trusts. In most cases, Individual Client types would use the 'Project' Entity type. You may also create a Business or Subsidiary Entity type for an Individual if necessary.
