Version 3.0.2 (June 25, 2024)

What’s New:

Basil Drive - Virtual drive that integrates seamlessly with a Windows server or local network. Edit files locally with your desktop applications, save tax returns and statements directly into Basil client folders, or simply use Basil Drive to back up all your cloud folders and files on local storage.
Reports - Gain valuable insights with detailed task and time reports. Monitor productivity, manage workloads, and optimize your practice’s performance.
Billing - Invoice and collect payments using the Stripe integration.

Updates:

View Filters added to Signatures to sort by “Sent By” and “Status”.
Performance improvements to enhance the overall performance of Basil. Enjoy faster load times, smoother navigation, and a more responsive experience.
When opening a document, the file name will now be prominently displayed at the top.
Dashboard:
- Task summary now includes freeform tasks.
- Enjoy a more visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
- The Quick Access menu has been moved to the main navigation for easier access from anywhere in the application.
Client Name is now displayed on tasks in both the Placard and List view.
Project repetition cycles can now be modified while the project is in progress.

Version 3.0.5 (January 17, 2025)

Updates:

Apostrophes in Names: Names with apostrophes are now fully supported.
Workflow Fix: The issue where all tasks were clickable when workflows were enabled for some of your projects has been resolved. Only the task available to be worked on can be clicked.
Spreadsheet Filters Save Sort Order: Filters now retain your sort preferences. For example, if you filter Task IDs from low to high and save the filter, the order will persist when you leave and return to the page.

Shared Spreadsheet Views: You can now share custom views with all team members, eliminating the need for them to recreate filters themselves.

Version 3.0.6 (March 1, 2025)

Updates:

Bulk Edit of Tasks: Tasks can now be modified in bulk
Email Integration: Email Integration has been enabled for all users. At the current moment, only Gmail or Google Workspace accounts can be connected.
Client Lock: Files in the client portal can be locked by the accounting firm so that they can not be downloaded until the client's payment is finalized.

Multiple Task Assignment: Tasks can now be assigned to multiple team members at once.
Recurring Task update: Recurring task and projects can now be set to a customizable day of when to repeat.
