What’s New:

  • Ability to email a File Upload or File Download link to users not registered for a Basil account
  • Ability to select a priority level for tasks
    • Low, Normal, High, Critical
  • Ability to sign up or sign in to Basil from the Qbox Plus Web Dashboard for users that have a Qbox account
Updates:
  • Tooltips are now showing correctly when hovering over Team Members on the "Contacts" page.
  • Updated task filter information
    • When viewing a specific team member's tasks, Basil will now show their name instead of their email address
  • Multiple bug fixes implemented for creating Projects, managing Team Members, and adding or editing tasks

What’s New:

  • Ability to sort clients by name and client type in the list view 
  • Added the "All Tasks" option to the task filter view so an Account Owner and Team Members can see all tasks in Basil.
  • Tasks can now be sorted/filtered by Priority and tags in the Spreadsheet view.
  • Added a link to the Basil Support Portal in the help '?' menu.

What’s New:
  • Enhanced note-taking in CRM
    • Added the ability to add notes on any contact for joined Primary/Client Users and Team Members.
    • Mention users on a note with '@user name'.
  • Personalize your profile
    • Add a profile picture to your user profile icon in the top right-hand corner.
  • Clarity in eSignature notifications
    • To enhance transparency, eSignature notification emails now include source clarification. This addition ensures that you have clear insights into the origin of eSignatures.
  • Simplified file management
    • Added email links to the three-dot menu for folders and files to request an upload of files to a folder or request the download of a file from Basil without requiring a Basil Account

  • Polished Global Search
    • Expect a smoother and glitch-free search experience, enhancing efficiency.
  • Refined Charts
    • Multiple fixes have been applied to Charts, elevating their performance and reliability.
  • Seamless Project Launch
    • An issue that previously hindered users from launching new projects with names similar to existing projects has been resolved.
  • Enhanced Chat
    • Chat's functionality has been improved. Adding new users to group messages and managing archived messages is now a seamless process.

Version 2.8.3 (August 29, 2023)

What’s New:

  • Summary for eSignature documents
    • Using the power of AI, Basil will scan the file and offer the user a summary of its contents so they do not have to read through the whole PDF.
  • The “Clients” tab has been separated into a “People” and "Files" tab.
    • Access to your Firm and Client files can be found under "Files". 
    • CRM tools can be found under the “All Contacts” sub-tab of "People". The “All Contacts” sub-tab shows a full CRM listing of all users joined to your Basil account.
  • Billing Tab
    • Bills can be intelligently generated using data from Tasks completed and Tasks pending.
  • Filter the My Clients list by Client type: Business Owner, Corporation, Individual
Updates:
  • Added new task type: "Bookkeeping"
  • Task Notifications
    • Client users will now receive an email notification that there is work for them to complete as soon as a task is assigned to them.
  • Chat Notifications
    • Chat will now offer in-app and email notifications when there are unread messages based on user notification settings.
    • Each chat now displays the count of unread messages as well.
  • Charts have been updated to now include custom task data.
  • Resolved the "Request 406 Error" bug when trying to complete eSignatures on a mobile device.
  • Fixed an issue with Global Search where some documents were not appearing in the results depending on what type of user was logged in.

Version 2.8.4 (September 11, 2023)

What's New:
  • Added ability to print any Bill as a PDF
  • AI summary of PDF documents will no longer create its own document immediately. Users will have the choice to view the summary in a pop-up window or save the document to a Basil folder they have access to.

Updates:

  • Fixed multiple issues on the “People” tab of Basil.
  • Fixed an issue where Account Owners and Team Members were showing up more than once on the “All Contacts” tab.
  • Fixed a bug where adding a new contact resulted in an empty vCard and non-editable vCard.
  • Resolved an issue where marking a task complete may result in an error.
  • Fixed a bug where Account Owners were not showing as having access to a folder.

What's New:

  • Cora Assistant can now be used for individual tasks. Customization options can be found on the “Settings” page of the Account Owner.
    • Customize three different modes 
    • Create custom mode names and notification frequency intervals
Updates:
  • Updated the folder structure of Entities under the “My Firm” tab
  • Updated the Help Wizard to reflect recent updates
  • Updated tooltips for the "People" and "Files" tabs

Version 2.8.6 (September 26, 2023)

What's New:

  • Basil now has cross-tab navigation: When using the “People” and “Files” tabs, Basil will remember which client/entity the user is viewing and allow for switching tabs all while remaining on the same client/entity.

Updates:

  • Fixed an issue where users were not able to delete logged time if the parent task was deleted.
  • Fixed an issue where the Primary User was not listed under Client Entities in the “People” tab.
  • Resolved a bug where team members were repeating when enabling the "default access to all Client Entity folders and files" under the owner Settings page.

What's New:

  • Basil Smart Calendar: 
    • Efficiently manage your Basil Projects and Tasks as well as other events
    • Enhance project management by visualizing and organizing tasks in a calendar view
  • Client Data Templates:
    • A new section in the “People” tab for each Client
    • The Client Data sheet can be used to house custom information in fields created by the Account Owner on their “Settings” page.
    • Easily view client information under one screen, eliminating the need to dig into notes.
  • QuickBooks Online Integration:
    • Import Clients from QBO directly into Basil
    • Import service items from QBO
    • Generate bills using service items
    • Send invoices seamlessly to QBO

Updates:

  • Changed the Client/Entity icons under the “Files” tab to better indicate to users the file/folder structure and represent that they are in the “Files” section of Basil.
  • Updated the default tab selection for Basil Account Owners on the "People" and "Files" tabs to be the “My Clients” sub-tab instead of “My Firm”.
  • Fixed an issue in Billing where some billing PDFs were not downloading with their bill numbers as the file name.

Version 2.8.9 (November 3, 2023)

What's New:

  • Task statuses have been reworked into a flexible and dynamic Kanban-style board with additional task types added.

Updates:

  • Basil will now automatically log users out after thirty (30) minutes of inactivity.
  • Updated the warning message provided when attempting to prepare a document for eSignature that is longer than 30 pages.

Version 2.8.10 (November 17, 2023)

Updates:
  • Client Data can now be seen by all Team Members.
  • When entering Client Data fields, added the ability to be able to save data in all fields at once instead of just one at a time.
  • Made adjustments to adding and editing new stages on the Tasks Kanban board.
  • Added a new feature where if a field in Client Data is currently empty, that field will be hidden.

Version 2.8.11 (December 1, 2023)

What's New:

  • A "Tree View" has been added for folders and files in the “Files” Tab.
  • Contact Vcards have been removed, consolidating all relevant information into the "All Contacts" CRM view. This comprehensive view now incorporates new fields such as Address, Shipping Address, and Info. Plus, you can download the entire contacts list.
  • The "Import Client" tool is now available by default for all Account Owners, enabling easy client imports without the need for individual support enablement.

Updates:

  • New and Improved Dashboard
    • Quick Access links were added to allow swift navigation to different parts of Basil.
    • An Onboarding Checklist is now available for first-time users of Basil to assist in getting set up.
  • Project Templates can now be copied, edited, or deleted.
  • Tasks
    • Account Owners now have the ability to craft custom tasks in settings and configure their associated properties.
    • Workflow stages such as Not Started, In Progress, and Completed can be personalized and new stages can be created.
    • Users can choose to display or hide certain default task types. 
  • The “List View” for “My Clients” now includes all available actions such as Client Data, Notes, Tasks, and Notifications.
  • Due to a bug with Excel files in the Zoho Editor, the editing of Excel spreadsheets has been disabled. The ability to view spreadsheets from the Basil platform is still available.

Version 2.8.12 (December 15, 2023)

What's New:

  • New, simplified workflow for adding clients and workspaces, plus inviting primary users.
  • Client Dashboards! Clicking on the name of a Client in the “People” tab now shows a client-specific dashboard where all information related to that client can be found.

Updates:

  • “Entities” in Basil are now referred to as “Workspaces”.
  • The "Tree View" has been added to the People tab so you can view users by clients and workspaces in one view.
  • Manage Team Members has moved from settings and can now be done from the People tab.
  • Clients and workspaces can now be shared from both the People tab and the Files tab.
  • Task notifications are now sent to Team Members when they are created and assigned.
  • Task tags are now searchable.
  • Mandatory fields during task creation are now marked with a red dot.

Version 2.8.14 (January 19, 2024)

What's New:

  • Updated user interface across Basil.
  • Project statuses now show a progress bar to indicate how many tasks are completed out of the total tasks in the Project.

Updates:

  • Fixed an issue that was affecting Basil Chat. Chat has now been re-enabled for all users.
  • Fixed an issue where task notifications were being sent out even if tasks were marked as completed.
  • Resolved an issue where a task could not be moved to a different stage if it was assigned to someone who wasn’t the Account Owner.
  • Reduced the height of each row in the “People” list view so more clients can be seen on screen.
  • Fixed an issue where a one-time use email download link may still be active even after the user downloaded the file.
  • Email addresses and mobile numbers are no longer mandatory when adding a new contact to the CRM page.
  • Increased the eSignature message character limit by 1000 characters.
  • Resolved an issue where the current view may not have been maintained when switching between the “People” and “Files” tabs.

Version 2.8.15 (February 9, 2024)

What's New:

  • Task Timer: while working on tasks users can enable a timer that will help keep track of how long a task is taking to complete.
  • eSign has been added to the main header tabs to allow for quicker access to all eSignatures.

Updates:

  • Basil Client Tree View is now sortable from the “People” tab
  • Multiple updates and improvements to Task and Project creation screens
  • Added the ability to upload .CSV files to Basil

Version 2.8.16 (February 27, 2024)

What's New:

  • Basil Email Integration
    • Basil will now integrate with a user’s Gmail email system allowing for the reading, replying, and composing of new emails directly from the Basil platform. (This is in the early stages and will need to be enabled by the CoralTree Support Team for the user's account).
  • Added the ability to create Folder Templates in the Files tab.
  • Client Dashboards can now be opened in new browser tabs, allowing for multiple dashboards to be opened at once.

Updates:

  • Standardized the date format across Basil to the American standard of MM/DD/YYYY.
  • The confetti that showed when marking a task as “Complete” has been removed.
  • Basil CRM fields are now sortable.
  • Improvements to eSignatures
    • Mark signature components as Optional or Required
    • Added Start and Next buttons to guide signers through all signature components
